The Business Insider article says at one point:

The “keto” diet is experiencing a surge in popularity thanks to Silicon Valley tech workers who evangelize its ability to promote weight loss, boost energy, and possibly prolong life itself.

While I am a supporter and believer in the ketogenic (LCHF, Atkins) diet strategy I think one problem I have with that passage is that that kind of reasoning is NOT scientific and abandons critical thinking. It just a different version of the “all the best actresses and models in Hollywood are following this diet” argument.
